“Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.” Ps. 33:1-3

The choir of Bethany Church has established at short time after the founding of the church in 2002.The choir serves a support role in the worship service and that is to praise God and to minister to people. We are commanded to praise God through the Scripture. Ps. 149:1; 136:1-2; 146:1; 147:1; 150.
Choirs feature in the Bible’s own description of divine worship. Job 38:7; Luke 2:13-14; Rev. 5:11-12.
The choir should serve others by leading them to truly praise and worship God in spirit and in truth, helping them focus on God and preparing their hearts for the preaching of the Word and to bring people to Christ. Therefore, the role of the choir in the church is one of ministry and not performance.
Choir members are praising God with the gift of singing, which He has blessed them. They have a clear understanding that this ministry involves sacrifice but it is accepted because it comes from a willing and committed heart. The choir members are striving to give their best to God.
If God has blessed you with the gift of singing, and you are ready to serve and to be committed, you are more than welcome to join this very special ministry of Choral Music.
“O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endures for ever.” Ps. 136:1
